IMPORTANT NOTES:
- 23andMe updates their raw data from time to time to improve accuracy. It is best to download a fresh copy instead of using an older one.
- If available, please upload only your Mitochondrial DNA raw data file. Uploading the complete raw data file will work, but will take longer. (This download option may not be available on newer tests.)
- Upload the txt data file. The zip file will not work.
- If your computer is unable to open zip files, try installing 7-zip. 7-zip is free and comes without any unwanted add-ons.
- 23andMe raw data files downloaded prior to April 1, 2010 are known to have some incorrect results. The current version will automatically detect and filter out the inaccurate markers but this may exclude relevant markers and reduce accuracy. Please use a current data file for best results.
